A Madea Family Funeral

The funniest jokes and gags of all the Madea films

My first go-round with Perry's iconic Madea - while there are a few minor chuckle-worthy moments, this feels like a limp rehash of Eddie Murphy's KLUMPS material; while there isn't the same focus on scatological humour, it is still fairly laboured and obvious, with Perry himself struggling to distinguish his own array of characters (his Madea is unconvincing, even in the pantomime tradition). Odd switch to gushy, sentimental emotion in the last act provides some tonal whiplash for good measure.

I think the funeral is for me... I was bored to death.
