A Love Song

This is a nice quiet film that is a quaint portrait of two old lovers rekindling their relationship. There's a calm dignity in the two characters and the film is not afraid to let the audience sit in silence with their emotions. It won't be for anyone, but I found it soothing and introspective.

Well-acted and simple little indie film.

An even further stripped back version of NOMADLAND (if that’s possible) – arguably a little *too* slight and inconsequential, but follows a delightful trend of recent years giving marginalised character actors the time to shine as leads. Dickey and Studi's enthusiasm permeates the film, and by extension the audience, making it more than enough to simply sit back and observe them move their characters from A to B without any unnecessary dramatic fireworks to spark excessive melodrama.

“A Love Song” is a touching and profound film that will leave you with a sense of hope and resilience. The outstanding performances, beautiful cinematography, and emotionally enriching story make it a must-watch for anyone looking for a thoughtful and heartfelt movie experience.
