The same director and lead actors as Szerelem, but not as good. Again there are political undertones, but I think about 95% of the Eastern European films I've seen have had political undertones. And here, they're nothing new or special or interesting. What's left is a passable but mundane family drama. Szerelem has the austerity of Bergman; this one has a similar vibe, but it's too distanced and moody. The score is pure cheese; I was expecting a softcore porn scene to break out at any moment.
