A Little Bit Zombie

"That's stupid", says the lead character after acting wacky for the fifteenth time, and I couldn't agree more. If you love zombie comedies, you owe it to yourself to maintain some damn standards and avoid bad zombie comedies. This tries so hard to be funny but doesn't succeed even once, and has characters so flat and annoying you want them all to die painfully (which they don't). A pity, because the idea has potential, but it needed more brains.

It could have been funnier but it was not that bad. Shawn Roberts got stung by a bug and now he is super beefy, he has always been so hot.

I've lost track how many comedies I've tried recently that all failed to rise a smile. I've tried plenty of horror-comedies as well and been bitterly disappointed again and again. My kingdom for a good horror-comedy

It means well but the comedy is mostly forced and the gore is incredibly low-rent, even for a low budget horror-comedy. Stephen McHattie, usually a reliable hand, is too over the top in an poorly underwritten character obsessed with canned bacon and killing dead things. Maybe it isn't fair to hold it up to the standard set by Shaun of the Dead, but it really raised the bar for zombie movies in general...and especially zom-rom-coms. This falls far short.
