A LITTLE WHITE LIE

A crazy amalgamation of Hallmark drama with a Stephen King thriller. There's a lot of CW teen programming level shit with some good existential crisis analysis. The tone shifts are jarring but I'd say regardless that this is very watchable. But for the love of god, don't go in expecting a rom-com as the trailer and blurbs suggest.

There are some entertaining moments towards the end of the film, but the rest of it is dull, predictable, and lifeless. The attempt to skewer the literary world falls flat, and even the attempts at comedy feel forced. The talented cast is wasted on a forgettable and unremarkable film that fails to deliver on every front.
