Very well made tho age renders some actions as nonsensical... was going to say degenerates to soap but that's unkind. Cracking have the last word while not saying a word bit near very end. Pity all roles not likeable as is most of score **that was written for the film** - there's a very nice Koto recital that I assume is traditional. Overpowering sound of construction & esp the overflying jets MAY be a reference to the supplanting of old ways with new. Avoid the very poor DVD copy if possible.
