A crooked homicide detective accidentally kills a pedestrian with his car and covers it up by hiding the body, and ends up being blackmailed by an unexpected witness to his act. It's got some decent violence and tension, but the plot hinges on a series of ludicrously unlikely coincidences, littering the second half of the film with one eye-rolling twist or shocking reveal after another. I guess I was hoping for something a little more farcical in tone.

Became too comedic at points for my taste. Betrayed its own mood at some points for gimmicky one scene contrivances.

ger; [a hard day]; ein korrupter polizist muss sein eigene fahrerflucht nach einem tödlichen unfall verbergen und währendessen einen fall lösen.; (ein land in dem alle polizisten scheinbar in verschiedenen graden kriminell sind; absurd aber spannend);

Joyless and deeply disposable. If your protagonist is going to be an asshole, he needs to be a likable asshole. Gun-su has a stressed, pinched look on his face the entire time and the whole plot hinges on illogical choices and suspension-of-disbelief-testing coincidences. The police showing off their explosives on stuffed animals labeled with social ills was funny, though.

lots of typical movie coincidences, but the movie has a good pace to keep me entertained.

A really good at times funny thriller, didn't know if I'd be able to adjust the frekvency to a korean movie, but it was no problem.

Definite key moments of brilliance - the rest is solid, if not a little far-fetched.

you should know already whether you're gonna like this just by reading that it's a korean thriller with this premise and title. does exactly what you'd expect, caring far less about plot, character or theme than it does about glorious set pieces and generally being nasty and funny and crazy. kinda hope that last scene was setting up a sequel.

A very average flick. Everything is by-the-numbers. Thr soundtrack is particularly bland. Hero displays no finer feelings, does nothing nice for anyone, and goes about with a fixed peevish, stressed expression. The drama is inflated and the villain a caricature. No effort was made to make the rest of the cast seem like individuals. The ending is ridiculously implausible. Maggie Lee misled me here.

These damn Koreans just don't care about plausibility or coherence. So as long as they find a way to keep the story moving, they'll abandon things they've set up just ten minutes ago. This commitment to spectacle and suspense is, well, certainly something.

The biggest problem is that too many of the actions taken by the characters in the film just don't make sense. Could have been paced better. But overall a good and entertaining action film.
