"At times this comes on like a Bringing Up Baby for the MTV generation and as such Lee copes well. Though it's hard to imagine even Cary Grant scratching his way through a running gag about pubic lice."

Bad on a catastrophic level. Bad, bad, bad, stinky awful bad. Zero chemistry between the leads. No discernable reason for them to like each other. No discernable reason for the audience to like any of them. Diarrhea jokes. Bad.

Hey let's have everyone lie for comedic effect instead of telling the truth and resolving everything. Or how about we don't and actually have a good movie.

Odd hybrid of screwball farce and (mild) aughts raunch can never build a proper comic momentum because it doesn’t commit to either style of comedy; a shame, because Lee and Stiles prove here that they could have survived a remake of WHAT’S UP DOC if Glienna’s scattershot script had let them – in fact, the cast do a collectively decent job with what they are given here, which makes it even more of a wistful what-might-have-been, if still a pleasant enough watch.

Writer Glienna made and also starred in comedy Meet the Parents. Basically this is also Meet the Parents but shown from slightly different angle. Anyway A Guy Thing is funny but same time absolutely silly and pointless movie.

A movie where the characters make everything harder on themselves for no real reason except to make the movie feature length and to add "funny moments."
