Margarita and Güte live in an unhealthy and stagnant environment that they can neither leave nor change. Meanwhile, the radio broadcasts messages and the world awaits the launch of the spacecraft that will take humans to the edge of the solar system. When Maria falls ill, Margarita persuades Güte to do something, but they fail and become separated until they realize what the real hurdle is.

It exhibits a power in world-building and a control over frame and sound, yet falls short of any meaningful cinematic argument beyond "Elon Musk is bad." The girls in the post-apocalyptic German village seek a way out as "Güte" (goodness) dares to go to "desert" (cottage) after sabotaging the "civilization." The irony is that Güte looks like a transplanted Berliner hipster and their only vision for humanity is to oppose technology and kill men. Seeks more nihilism to cure nihilism. Won't work.
