A farcical black comedy that prefers the cringe rather than the laugh. There, I'm Leonard Maltin now. Pay me. Seriously, that guy is awful, stop buying his books. Why couldn't he lose his face to cancer and not Ebert? Dylan Moran was funny, the other guy was appropriately pathetic, and the film looked ok. The dead characters were all one dimensional though and had no purpose other than fulfilling the plot's guarantees.

I love movies where the conflict spins farther and farther out of control with every attempt to solve it, so I enjoyed this immensely.

A black farce with moments of inspired madness, mainly from Moran's drunken writer, but I found Doherty's blank cipher so inert that I ended up hating his hangdog face.

Forgettable Irish film. Had a unique premise though which sadly is used poorly

The greatest weakness, I think, is the reliance of absurd circumstance to further the black humour, but it's brilliant when it takes full advantage of this. It's difficult to pull off a film of this sort, so their efforts are commendable. If there were more scenes involving the 'unexpected interruption' device then I might have given it a higher score.

Dylan Moran was the main reason I wanted to see this, and he was his typical awesomeness in it. The film started off slowly and I wasn't sure where it was going, but the twist came and it got better. I've seen this type of black comedy film lots of times before - where things just get worse and worse and you as the audience member get more and more frustrated. Not a brilliant movie by any standard, but totally fun and watchable.

it starts out quite slow, but manages to hit its stride towards the middle. the off beat story is original and it's complemented by some low key acting by the leads. it's a nice flick, but not a standart comedy for everyone.

Hysterical Irish farce in which a poor struggling actor has his brother, his landlord, and his girlfriend all die in individual accidents in his flat on the same day, so he teams up with his alcoholic writer friend to come up with a plausible explanation for all the bodies. Pitch black humor mixed with a healthy dose of slapstick as each of their ideas just make the situation worse. Dylan Moran plays the drunken writer and is completely disheveled and hilarious.

A prime example of a meta-movie done right.

Not really as funny as I would have hoped but Dylan Moran was the perfect rogue to pull this strange little film off.

Clever enough, I guess. It wasn't very funny, though. Might be a mood thing, but this did little for me.

Yeah I giggled. Alot. And Dylan Moran? Fecking genius. Mark: This is a lie Pierce. Pierce: Shut up! It's not. It's the new truth.

Really nice score, and the film's pitch never wavers far from the promised black. But the storyline is just way too predictable and lazy -- even if that's sort of the point -- to care much about it. This has all the characterization of a short film, with a plot that could have really used one.
