A bit too cheap to get anything out of anything. Standard mystery searching for "The Fiend"!!! The usual mystery villain walking around as a hunchback and black cape! There are countless of those in B movies. I've seen worse, but didn't do much for me. Al St. John wasn't funny as comic relief and Jack Mulhall did one of his classic bad acting roles. His death scene is... something. It brings the movie's main laugh.
