It doesn't exceed what you might expect from a South Korean modern day gangster film (engaging with great camerawork, but a little overlong), but it is a solid piece, and recommendable to someone who is in to that kind of thing.

This was a pretty good if over long gangster tale. This was well acted but I've never really gotten into straight gangland tales such as Scarface or the Godfather and this follows the same path by being a relatively realistic portrayal of life as a Korean gangster.

aksiyon sahneleri iyi çekilmiş ama film, senaryo yapısı ve ilerleyişi bakımından biraz türk filmi tadında. hatta "biraz" değil, "bariz".

A little unfocused with its multiple subplots, the it's still solid and enjoyable.

Very slow drama; no action and no real hint of suspense either. Just a slow, disrupted plot and a letdown of an ending.

A good Korean gangster movie with intensity, violence, and heart. The ending is great.

Average. A Korean gangster film that starts off pretty good but turns very conventional midway through and ends in a cliché laden disappointing mess. Although it does feature some very unique and brutal fight sequences, it's still too derivative to warrant a viewing. Not Recommended.

The main flaw with the film is that the whole subplot with the director friend seemed to be shoehorned in. It's not a bad premise but it's forced and the events just aren't believable in what is a somewhat realistic contemporary gangster film. Not a bad effort from Ha Yu but there's just much better examples of the genre out there. The acting is pretty good though and the violence is gut wrenching realistic.

It's a bit longer than it needed to be, but the end result is pretty satisfying. Seems to borrow a lot of elements from a wide range of gangster films/series, but mixes them fairly well into something that stands on its own.
