A Dark Truth

Apparently, when not playing a mobster, Andy Garcia is a little lost. Here, he decides to imitate Clint Eastwood for most of the movie. Nothing in this flick rings true. Still, it is, surprisingly, intermittently enjoyable. VERY intermittently.

A dark truth about this movie is that it isn't very good. I thought the idea of the plot was good but the execution of the film just fell way flat. This was possibly one of the longest hour and forty-five minutes that I've experienced in a while. Whitaker and Longoria hardly had meaty parts in this and Andy Garcia really can't carry a movie by himself. Deborah Kara Unger's botox was so distracting, it was hard to even focus on what she was saying. A terribly boring movie, what a waste.
