A Christmas Story 2

Barely average holiday family movie that has no business calling itself "the official sequel" to a true classic.

I don't hold the 1st in as high regard as others, but at least you can excuse rose-colored nostalgia as a child's POV. As a teenage story, it's just sick. It insults my brain to think that the '40s would be anything like this, much less as integrated as this movie depicts. So I have conclude the narrating older main character is a moron and his younger self isn't making a great argument against that either. Fav scenes: the cars were nice and shiny; ice fishing.

The things I watch sometimes... stupid, maudlin crap. Transposing two letters, Nat Mauldin's narration--irritating voice and weird inflections--is possibly the worst part of this flick with lots of awful parts...one wishes someone would stuff a sock down his throat by about 45 seconds in. Somehow--miraculously--Braeden Lemasters manages to remain likable and almost charming throughout this schock-fest.

I saw this on Univision in Spanish. Can't say it made it any better.

Of course it's not as good as the original- and Daniel Stern just feels out of place as the dad. But it has its own charms.

F: I can honestly say this; without a doubt the worst Christmas movie of all time.
