Big city lady going to small town. Check. Fall in love, fight, make up. Check. A quaint inn. Check. There's a dog. Check. Not terrible, and you do get Cary Elwes, Brooke Shields, and Drew Barrymore, so that's nice. In the end, it's just a romance set in a Scottish town with a very well decorated Castle.

I don't understand what the editor was thinking with the credit sequence, very disorienting. Other than that it was a very enjoyable terrible movie.

I’m quite surprised the co-writer of the movie has had writing experience since the 80’s. This piece of film is riddled with huge structural issues usually done by novices. At times character motivations make absolutely no sense aside from creating drama and regressing the plot, only to repeat earlier solutions. Some sections are completely redundant because of this. And dialogue transitions are done very poorly. Only positive note is that Elwes’ wooden acting somehow fits with the mess.

A cheesy Christmas movie. Totally predictable, but cozy and wholesome.

It's a passable "Hallmark" movie, but everything just feels odd. Worse, I can't help but feel all the stars are detracting from their younger careers. Brooke Shields looks weird. Her character being a famous and rich author doesn't make sense. Cary Elwes has zero charisma. Both characters seem to have mood swings. I wasn't familiar with the cinematic universe so I thought the couple checking into the inn were going to be villains. Fav scenes: Drew Barrymore show where Shields goes on a rampage.

Those cooky Scottish people! Is this just a pale imitation of 'Monarch of the Glen' with extra tinsel? I think so.

I usually enjoy watching terrible movies to make fun of them. This was awful but not in that way. Just bad. You're also never tricked into thinking they are really filming at an actual castle.
