While this movie looks like it costs 500 million dollars to make it also looks like Michael Bay watched a Michael Bay film, forgot it was his, and decided to outdo it by 10. If you want two hours of awful needle drops, straight up nonchalant murder, and the refusal to have a stationary camera then do I have a recommendation for you. This is batshit, mean spirited, and awful.

Stunt people did an epic job. Why is Bay allowed to make films?

Bay's Suicide Squad Arab Spring movie. Less distasteful than you would expect from him -- well, he seems pretty angry at Trump -- and actually takes risks for trying to be somewhat contemplative -- grotesque detail gore shots, some slowmo, mid-aerial stuff reminiscent from 13 Hours. Still, this is all about the well-crafted set pieces -- the THX sound explosion at HK, the magnet tricks at the yacht -- and his usual crude humor -- supported by CGI bad guys' bodies destroyed in always flashy ways.

I was told this was bad but didn't believe. But it's actually almost unwatchable in a "I'm getting a headache" way. Nothing is allowed to be on screen for more than 3 seconds. It's looks really cheap, probably because it's shot on digital. There's no dialogue, just quips

The abysmally poor writing begins with the title and never ceases to surprise, matching the choreography leap for leap and the special effects fiery crash for fiery crash. Due partly to their excess and consequential breakneck pace, but also significantly to frenetic camera work and editing, the set pieces are never as exhilarating as they could be, but because of their sheer number they can't fail to entertain. It's an experience, that's for sure.

The trailer promised wall to wall action, and the movie delivered. Beautifully shot, spectacular stunts. The plot is really just a vehicle for the action, but as a whole it's a pretty solid action flick.

Remember when causality was something of a bare minimum requirement in a narrative film? Bay and/or his editor doesn't. Still, this straight faced remake of Team America: World Police is more enjoyable and less bloated than his robot-nonsense, and helped along by Reynolds who brings some much needed and detached levity matched only by his character's complete and utter lack of tactical skills.

Michael Bay gonna Michael Bay. I went in expecting some spastic bullshit with a dumb plot, oh boy was I not disappointed, it's even more spastic than I thought. Shit goes fast, it's dumb, it's fun, it's exactly what I wanted to see going in and I'm not ashamed of it. Still awful by good/bad movie standards, but I like those.

There are moments during 6 Underground when I almost feel like I'm getting into the film, but something arises that breaks my suspension of disbelief. This includes: the pathologically excessive number of nonsensical cuts, explosions accompanied by fireworks, the fact they're still repeating the explanation of the premise an hour in. It's a film that uses being ridiculous to masquerade not being good, while still being smug. I liked the cast, but Reynolds doesn't stray from his Deadpool persona.

Bloodthirsty fantasy comedy that opens with a bang, but, after a fast-paced and action-packed first half hour, too many of the jokes fall flat and consequently the story (which concerns the virtues of removing a brutal dictator and installing his conveniently "democracy-loving" brother in his place, leading to joy and celebration throughout the fictional-but-real-sounding country, and to the satisfaction of a job well done for our plucky heroes) wears thin.

The first 20 minutes are absolutely nuts but sadly the rest fails to live up to that insane promise. It's a very Michael Bay movie. If you don't enjoy his action movies there's nothing here that will convince you differently. If you are the type that can switch off your brain, have a few drinks and enjoy some glossy explosions and some really graphic kills, this will pass a couple of hours but will be forgotten just as quickly.

Sort of on par with Triple Frontier for being biggish budget big actor and straight-to-streaming. The whole movie should have been re-imagined around the magnet scene.

scenario in many ways reminds popcorn action movies like "F&F" (with similar pomposity and maybe even with more cliche, so yeah, no point in focusing on it) ; almost annoyingly colorful n cheesy (anyone tried "sense8"?). yet it was kinda ez-watching movie which felt fresh at some moments... overall, action scenes were well made. bonus points for visuals.

An A-team lookalike, but turned into a generic turd shaped version. It's hard for me to believe even with Reynold's charms, and ad libs it turned out this way, but I'm sure we can just blame Bay.

Ryan Reynolds' presence and the relatively cool action almost saves this film, but it's ultimately unmemorable and another addition to the big-action-without-much-punch file. A lot of the plot is just filler for the set-pieces and that just isn't enough.

Huge points for the insane car chase and tons of over the top crashes. It was a very thrilling and exciting ride. There are many things to complain about, but lack of action is certainly not one of them. Excellent cast. Frenetic pace. And yes, the story is way over the top. Highly worthwhile.

Mindless, forgettable fun. Ryan Reynolds is doing his shtick and nothing more. The action scene are fun in an over the top but nice to watch the total carnage kind of way. The story is fine told out of sequence to try and hide the duller uneven parts. Honestly I wouldn't mind seeing a sequel.

If you want substance and a well designed plot, don't log in to Netflix tonight for this one. If you like a quick paced, take no breaths type action flick then get the popcorn and enjoy the ride. It's nothing fantastic on the scale of story telling and it's something visually splendid. If you can forgive the gaping plot holes and the cool trendy concept it goes for what lies beneath is a solid action adventure flick that doesn't require you to rack your brain to figure out what happens next.

Not as bad as I thought it was going to be, but it still had a lot of problems. There is a scene in the beginning where a character goes from not having a hat to having a hat to not having a hat again. It's cliche in so many ways, but Michael Bay's action (and explosions) is able to hold it together somewhat.

The action is good (the magnet scene is amazing), but the editing and particularly the story-telling is absolutely awful. Reynolds is terribly miscast and his jokes fall mostly flat. Actingwise only Hawkins and Hardy seem to be able to survive this disaster.

The plot of this movie is explosions and violently killing bad guys while making sardonic comments with a dash of super science. The attempts are character development are lame but if you're Michael Bay all you need to do, apparently, is make death and mayhem look cool. And that is the realized premise of this movie.

Loud and excessive par-for-the-course Bay epic has some good set pieces (the opening chase is well executed, albeit chaotic), but goes on far too long, and can’t provide protagonists with the relative likability (and even modest depth) of the FAST & FURIOUS films which this seems intent on emulating. At least it’s not as aggressively overbearing as the low-lights of Bay’s canon and is a reasonably painless watch; the magnet fight is another genuinely creatively staged set-piece.

Viewed April 6, 2022. Opens with a genuinely superb action sequence - a car chase through the streets of Rome that's full of moving parts, particularly its clever sense of scale where Bay contrasts the cars moving on the ground with a simultaneous foot chase happening up in the air - and has another great action sequence in the siege at its center. It was also shot by Bojan Bazelli, whose photography is as vividly colorful as any of his films with Abel Ferrara.

Such an expensive film with such a microscopic writing budget:the story, script and 'quips' are beyond awful. You cant even enjoy the action as -with much of the production- editing was handed over to a coke-addled ADD sufferer.I literally had no idea what was going on for large chunks of this, like they just rolled up to all these international locations with a wad of cash and riffed it from there.Or filmed a load of standalone stunts then mashed em together into a loose plot.Staggeringly bad.

The (almost) wall to wall action make it highly entertaining. While I'm usually not a fan of shakily shot and ADHD edited action, here it captured the chaos of the action well. The screw ups during the missions add some needed humor to all the explosions and killing. Cause of the non-stop action the lack of a good script doesn't bother much. So yeah I was surprised how much I liked this Michael Bay movie.

The running time is too long. The main characters are too selfish. The villain is not evil enough (fact is definitely worse than fiction in this case, even fiction based on so-called fact). The conclusion is too neat. The choice of title for the film is poor. But the superyacht functioning as a giant magnet is very cool.

I usually try my hardest at defending Michael Bay, since he has done a lot of things that I've personally really enjoyed, but this is kind of all over the place to the point where I would've rather turned it off or watched Green Lantern. It has a fine concept and everything, but it doesn't really have much of a sense of urgency or passion for the characters, so there's a big fat "why" I'm still asking as far as to why everything happens and HAS to happen the way it does. I come up blank.

...I just realized Michael Bay is John Carpenter (=as dumb as it's cool) with ADHD. Looks amazing, edited spastically, highly tonally inconsistend, very cool cast, has all the ingredients I genuinely love, but only delivers halfway and never goes beyond the superficial. I've never been on cocaine, but this movie is definitly the movie equivalent of doing it.

Plot-wise, it is mostly forgettable. Even right after having watched it, it's already a blur. As for the technical side of the stunts and the fresher and more hard-hitting elements of the action scenes, it's more impressive. James Bond only wish he could kill so many henchmen.
