3 Ninjas Kick Back

Makes the original look like Hamlet. Skin-peelingly bad, even for kids.

This is one of my favourite films as a kid. Ugh, I even called it a film. This is basically a baseball movie dressed up as a ninja movie. I don't understand how the baseball works -- it seems a little unfair that a 9-year old kid is facing off against some 17-year old ponytailed, wispy moustached dude throwing the high heat. Even with nostalgia added in, this is a tough watch.

Clearly made with an eye on the international market, this movie is set for the most part in Japan, shrewdly adding a female ninja to the three boys, thus broadening the potential demographics.

Uhh... I'm pretty sure mid-90s kids movies are the worst movies.

I suppose enough pre-pubescent boys liked the first one to warrant a second--so I'll let it slide without annihilating it with a uber-terrible review.

3 Ninjas Kick Back is the sequel to the first movie and it takes a giant page out of Karate Kid II - in both movies, they go to Japan, in both movies, the kid tags along, in both movies, the old Japanese character has a foe in Japan with a 4-decade long grudge against them. It's an okay movie, but not incredibly memorable. Biased: 82% | Unbiased: 64% | Predicted: 46%

My four year old loves it but anyone over 10 will hate it

Uh.

Exactly like the first in every way pretty much. Nothing is new or inventive, not that the first one was. Kids that liked the first one will like this but I couldn't in good conscience recommend this to anyone else.
