3 Extremes II

Three Extremes II is also known as just Three because it was actually released two years before Three Extremes because Three Extremes is actually the sequel to Three but more people saw Three Extremes so Three was rebranded as Three Extremes 2 to pretend to be a sequel to its sequel and pretend the sequel was the original but Three is number one and Three Extremes 2 is also number one and only the first Three Extremes is actually number two and there is no Three Extremes 3... ya following?

All 3 segments embody the EXTREME CINEMA Western perception of most Asian cinema in the 90s-00s. A lot of edgy stylistic choices that don't come together cohesively. Chan had the best segment both visually (Christopher Doyle out of nowhere) and narratively.

Good. This movie comprises of three supernatural tales but my score is only for the last of those as the first two fail deliver. The last segment's about a cop kidnapped while looking for his lost son, The kidnapper believes that the dead wife he keeps in a bath tub in his appartment will come back to life. Its a got a beutiful twist ending. Definitely worth a watch if only for the last story.

Not nearly as good as the first. The second one brings the movie down the most for a "It was all a dream" cheat ending. I hate those kinds of endings. The first and third segments were good, but I figured out the "twist" of the first segment just from reading the back of the box.
