Little does she know but a horrible virus is going to be unleashed upon her in 28 Days Later.

I honestly don't want to sound sexist, even though I flat out will, but I have no idea how any man could possibly derive enjoyment from this movie. It wasn't absolutely awful but it just wasn't enjoyable.

They did it. We didn't think it could be done, but 28 Days actually pulled it off. This is a film that features Steve Buscemi in a completely forgettable and useless role. I was so excited when he showed up and then he's just a nonplayer throughout. I don't mean he isn't in it. He is, he just doesn't matter in the least and as insane as it is to say this, I don't even think he brings anything to the role. How poorly written do you need to be for an unsatisfying Buscemi appearance? Madness

Shallow and superficial drama starts well, with a rare positive view of the recovery centre itself, fine performances from its cast (and a terrific one from Bullock). Unfortunately it becomes clear the screenplay doesn’t know what it wants to be – a vapid rom-com with CUCKOOS NEST style shenanigans or a more genuine and heartfelt dissection of the recovery process; tellingly Bullock’s relationships with Buscemi, Mortensen and West are all equally sketchy and unfocused.

Rented this instead of 28 Days Later back in the Blockbuster days. Not what I expected at all

Slightly darker tone that most rom coms with the rehab and all, but its still the same formulaic crap.

A stupid, throw away drama, that wasn't put together so badly as to make it completely unwatchable. Don't go out of your way to watch it, but don't think it will give you the plague either.

A story about rehab...its not everyone's cup of tea but i think Sandra did a good job on this one

NOT to be confused with 28 Days Later. A charming story of self-discovery masquerading as a rom com/ flat-out comedy. Very much a 2000s movie.

Good in the quiet moments. Shallow and trite the vast majority of the time.

The only thing that made me not walk out on this movie was Tudyk.

Plain and drab story about being in rehab. A better alchololsim movie is "When a Man Loves a Woman", but get the tissue box ready for that one.

sandra bullock is the worst

Love Sandra Bullock and this was a very good movie! Its funny, thought provoking and inspiring. Bullock gave another excellent performance. Each character had a purpose and the interaction of each character with Bullock was fantastic. Good movie that i've watched more than once and enjoyed each time.

Watchable, but nothing special

It's insipid. Bullock always performs the same way no matter who the character is.

I thought this would be funnier.

I remember it being bad but vaguely remember finding something redeeming about it.

The disjointed tone lets this down, as the comedic elements are poorly handled a lot of the time. The same can be said for Bullock's acting. She's damned good in the drama, but all over the place with the comedy. Could have been great, didn't quite make it. Still worth a watch though

There's something in this film that actually makes me watch it.

let's get drunk...

Sandra has the candle power to make almost anything watchable, and this at least avoids the pitfalls of being "those wacky dopers & drunks." A couple scenes scratch the surface of something deeper and that's about it.
