2048: Nowhere to Run

Pointless.

Not bad but feels like a justly deleted scene.

Best execution of the 3 shorts, while at the same time being the most irrelevant. Bautista, a good natured replicant with emp induced ptsd, is on the run. Mkay. You set up a character that's probably gonna get fried within the first 5 minutes.

Only runs five minutes but still manages to include some tedious clichés.

There is a lot of interest in the 'fake human' concept but the main problem is when the Replicants become generic superheroes/villains with abilities a bit greater than the heightened reality of action movies about 'regular' people. The original BR suffers from this but makes Deckard relatively frail, and has non-combat replicants more easily dispatched, but here there is just a X-Men oppressed mutants/MCU Civil War registration/etc. scenario.

kinda pointless, sure, but i love dave.
