An optimistic alternative to apocalyptic doom and gloom. Directed by E/A nominee João Amorim, Pinchbeck is on a quest for a new paradigm that integrates the archaic wisdom of tribal cultures with the scientific method. Rather than breakdown & barbarism, 2012 may herald the birth of a regenerative planetary culture where collaboration replaces competition, where exploration of psyche and spirit becomes the new cutting edge, replacing the sterile materialism that has pushed our world to the brink. Everything is there that needs to be; but it drains the psyche after a while, repeatedly hammering away at the same things over and over. It's as bad as protesters and the reason so many of them fail. Oh; and Ellen Page! SAVE for the film. er, nothing further on that.

Starts off ok, but gets very repetitive and not really interesting. Some of the animation is pretty cool, and Ellen Page. Oh God, she looks just amazing *drool*. Too bad she had very little screen time

Well, it's like a Michael Moores-meets-holism kind of educational documentary: it's full of good ideas in the first 30 minutes, but then it turns out to be a manual on "how to stop the end of the world" and stuff.
