My Brother... Nikhil

Overwrought drama is notable for tackling the subject of HIV/AIDS in notoriously censorious Bollywood, but it feels too little too late; laboured, histrionic writing (and performances) in the first half give way to a marginally more convincing mid-section as the ripple effect of the disease is closely observed; the finale is also quite touching, though it never moves beyond 'disease of the week' territory.
